Your developer hub on your terms

A ReadMe project is the backend of a distinct developer hub. Each project has a unique set of content (such as a Landing Page, Guides, and API Reference) published to a unique domain. Features such as Suggested Edits or Page Votes are enabled on a project-wide basis.

While you may have multiple ReadMe projects on separate plans, you must be on the Enterprise plan to host multiple projects on a single domain, set up global search across projects, and use other multi-project administration features.

Metrics gives you visibility into your users’ usage of your API, enabling you to track adoption over time and invest in high-impact improvements. To set it up, you’ll need to send your API logs to ReadMe! Sending logs to ReadMe will have no impact on the performance of your API.

Metrics is priced based on the volume of API logs you send to ReadMe each month; every ReadMe plan includes access to your most recent 24 hours of activity. To track activity over a longer time period, you may purchase additional API logs with ReadMe. If you hit your limit, you can always increase capacity, or wait for the start of the next month for your limit to reset.

After signing up for ReadMe, you have 14 days to try the product for free. At the end of that period, you will still be able to log in, and your content will be saved. If you have content beyond an API Reference, you’ll need to purchase a paid plan to launch your hub.

Free trials have access to Business plan features. When your trial ends, you must purchase the Business plan to continue using features limited to that plan like custom CSS or 404 redirect rules. If you choose the Startup or Free plan, you will lose access to features not included in those plans, but any content you have written will be saved.

In order to publish your ReadMe hub externally, you must choose a pricing plan in your billing settings. If you are only publishing an API Reference, you may choose the Free plan. If your hub includes other content like a Landing Page or Guides, you must choose the Startup plan or above.

ReadMe accepts credit card payments for monthly subscriptions in $USD. For custom invoicing and annual payments, you must be on the Enterprise plan.
