With Ask AI v2, your users get the information they're looking for fast, now with better context, increased customization, and advanced analytics.
Context is Key
When a user asks a question about your product, they want to get moving quickly. They don't want to jump between pages to find what they're looking for, and they don't want to sift through unrelated information to find the answer. Ask AI takes the user query and searches through your docs wholistically, whether all the information is on one page or multiple pages. It synthesizes the answer into a narrative that answers the user question directly, turning your reference docs into tailored tutorials that get users unstuck fast. Ask AI now even knows what page the user is searching from and adds that context to its response, which hones the guidance even further. Every answer includes citations so users can dive deeper.
Ask AI v2 indexes guides, API reference, and recipes, so all your relevant content is accessible. But it's also aware of your security and permission settings: a user will only receive information and links to content they're authorized to see.
Your Docs, Your Rules
You also have more control of where Ask AI appears in your docs and how it responds to users with custom prompts and unified search.
With custom prompts, you can tell Ask AI exactly how you want results to look. In addition to tone and length settings that describe how much detail to include, custom prompts allow you to define answer structure, push certain types of questions to specific docs pages, and highlight important information that should be prioritized.
Unified search integrates Ask AI directly into the search bar in your docs. In addition to the search results, it includes an "Ask about..." prompt and suggests related questions that might yield a more comprehensive answer. Don't want it integrated directly? You can also choose to have Ask AI floating at the bottom of the screen or as a button next to the search bar.
Gain Insight with Analytics
With Ask AI Analytics, you can see the questions users are asking, how the tool responds, and whether they were satisfied with the answer (thumbs up/thumbs down). Use these insights to help your team identify docs that need more detail or gaps in your content.
